NHL 23 was released earlier this month with the surprise announcement of cross-platform play (to be promised in an upcoming update) and improved EASH/CHEL experience such as more loadout slots, new presentation elements (hat trick celebrations, etc), and the ability to open bags faster and during game search (finally!) Still, much was left to be desired as much of the game felt like a cut and paste job of NHL 22/21/20/19/18/17/16….
Regardless, much of the player base has migrated to the new edition, and already we have a game of the year candidate!

Vladimir “Bobbie” Namkcenikov (formerly Steven Hawkins, Sergei Robertov) was playing for his club “Kings of the Pucks” Wednesday night (10/26/22) and pulled off this amazing play during a 3s penalty shot attempt. Watch the video below to see for yourself:
